Yes, we currently offer international vehicle hire from airports. Please contact us to discuss your requirements and we'll do our best to help.
In some cases, yes. Many suppliers allow vehicles to be taken abroad, subject to prior approval and additional documentation. Restrictions, permitted destinations, and any associated charges will vary depending on the vehicle and supplier.
If you plan to travel outside the UK, please let us know at the time of booking so we can confirm whether overseas travel is permitted and arrange any necessary authorisations.
No. Compello is a vehicle rental broker and does not own or operate a fleet of vehicles. Instead, we work with a carefully selected network of rental suppliers across the UK and internationally, allowing us to source the most suitable vehicle and pricing for your requirements.
As a broker, we have access to a nationwide network of rental locations. The nearest branch will depend on your location and vehicle requirements. Contact our team or book through our Compello Connect with your postcode or preferred area, and we'll find the most convenient rental branch for you.
Temporary branding, vehicle livery, telematics devices, trackers, and other equipment may be permitted, subject to supplier approval and the method of installation. Please discuss your requirements before the rental starts so we can confirm what is allowed and any conditions that may apply.
Please note that all vehicles must be returned without any livery, branding, or additional equipment fitted.
Yes, rental extensions can often be arranged, subject to vehicle availability and supplier approval. If you need to keep the vehicle longer than planned, please contact us as soon as possible and before the scheduled return date. We will work with the supplier to arrange an extension where possible.
Most rentals operate on a like-for-like fuel policy, meaning the vehicle should be returned with the same fuel level as when it was collected. If the vehicle is returned with less fuel, refuelling charges apply.
COI – Customer's Own Insurance
This means the hired vehicles will be covered under your own fleet insurance policy.
CDW – Collision Damage Waiver
A common rental industry term referring to damage protection for the vehicle. CDW usually reduces your liability for accidental damage but does not remove it entirely unless additional cover has been purchased.
TBA – To Be Advised
This means that certain information has not yet been confirmed and will be provided at a later date. It is most commonly used when the length of a vehicle hire has not yet been finalised.
APU – Automatic Pick Up
This means the customer has requested that the vehicle be collected automatically at the end of the agreed hire period. If the hire needs to be extended or amended, please contact us before the collection date.

While we can provide short-term hires, our primary focus is on rentals of seven days or longer. These longer-duration bookings help improve fleet utilisation and deliver greater profitability for our suppliers.
We've made the process as simple as possible. You'll have a dedicated point of contact and access to a streamlined platform that manages bookings, billing, damage reporting and hire records, keeping everything organised in one place.
Approximately 95% of our hires are covered by the customer's own insurance, providing added peace of mind and reducing the need for additional insurance arrangements.
We operate on 30-day net monthly payment terms, providing a reliable and predictable income stream for your business.
